In the early years growing up together, our relationship, combined with a fury for fashion, included rummaging through each other’s closet when the other wasn’t looking, picking out that hot top we had been eyeballing, stealthily walking out of the house with it on under our jacket, rockin’ that borrowed look, secretly putting it back just as we found it, then tiptoeing our way out of the nerve racking territory hoping to not get caught.
But as time went on, we grew wiser. “Why don’t we just share all of our clothes? Then we can have two wardrobes and double the threads!” DING, DING, DING!
Since then, we’ve bonded over sharing each other’s clothes instead of smuggling them. Taking bits and pieces from each other’s clothing collection, we started experimenting with offbeat and unfamiliar looks, each constantly evolving and becoming more and more unique than the last.
Eventually, we noticed our style beginning to differ from our peers and deviate from what “everyone else” was wearing – something we came to thrive off of. We discovered a strong sense of self-satisfaction by standing out from the rest, pushing us to continue on down our own path and encouraging each other along the way.
